HAZLETON – Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne) today announced plans to host a “Coffee and Conversation” event in Salem Township where she will provide an update on property tax relief efforts underway in the General Assembly.

Toohil invites residents of the 116th Legislative District with concerns about their current property tax situation to attend the free event. The informal meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Salem Township Municipal Building, 38 Bomboy Lane in Berwick.

“I look forward to bringing constituents up-to-date on the issue of property tax reform, which has been debated in Harrisburg for decades now,’ said Toohil. “It gives them an opportunity to ask questions and express their own viewpoints on this important topic in a casual setting, and enjoy a good cup of coffee at the same time.”
