HAZLETON – Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne) today announced that she is hosting her annual Farmers’ Breakfast on Thursday, Feb. 7, starting at 8 a.m. The complimentary event will take place at Tom’s Kitchen, 656 State Rt. 93 in Sugarloaf.

Members of the area’s farming community who are interested in attending are asked to contact Toohil’s district office to make a reservation at (570) 453-1344 or 1-855-282-0611. The deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 1.

“I look forward to hosting our local farmers and others who work in the agriculture industry every year,” said Toohil. “We have another impressive list of speakers and the food is always first-rate. I encourage anyone who hasn’t attended in the past to make plans to join us.”

Toohil is honored to have Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding as the keynote speaker. Redding has served as secretary since May 2015 and is the former dean of the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Delaware Valley College.

Toohil will provide an update on state legislation relating to the agriculture industry and farm families. She will also be available to answer questions on farming-related issues in the 116th Legislative District.
