Toohil to Host Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Members in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG – Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne) announced that she is hosting members of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce during the group’s legislative trip to Harrisburg on Tuesday, June 26. Chamber members are scheduled to attend a luncheon at the state Capitol and will hear from two Corbett administration officials and a state business leader.
Addressing the group will be Pennsylvania Transportation Secretary Barry Schoch, Pennsylvania Education Secretary Ron Tomalis and Sam Denisco, vice president of government affairs with the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. Chamber members will also have the opportunity to question each speaker.
“I am pleased to be able to host this worthwhile event,” said Toohil. “Chamber members will be able to hear firsthand about some of the most important issues currently facing the Commonwealth from those making the policy decisions. I am also looking forward to talking with chamber members about any concerns they have regarding the Hazleton area and suggestions for improving the job climate in Pennsylvania.”
The luncheon is scheduled to begin at noon in Room 302 of the Irvis Building in the Capitol Complex.
